The National Knowledge Commission (NKC) has introduced a comprehensive initiative aimed at advancing skill development within higher education, integrated into college and university curricula. This initiative leads to the attainment of a Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) Degree, allowing students to choose from multiple exit options, including Diploma and Advanced Diploma, in accordance with the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). The B.Voc. program places a strong emphasis on universities and colleges offering undergraduate studies, incorporating specific job roles and aligning them with the National Occupational Standards (NOS). This unique educational approach blends targeted vocational training with a broad-based general education, ensuring a holistic learning experience for students within the framework of the National Knowledge Commission’s vision.
