Dr.Abdulkalam Sevak Samaj Council for Open and Distance Learning (DASSCODL) is an Autonomous Board Recognized by Planning Commission Government of India and Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India. DASSCODL is accredited with International Council for vocational Open and Distance Education (ICVODE), and is accredited with ISO 9001:2015 Certification.
Dr.Abdulkalam Sevak Samaj Council conducts the courses in Non-Formal mode through Open and Distance Learning. Currently Dr.Abdulkalam Sevak Samaj Council conducts Elementary Education, Preparatory Programme, OBE Programme, ESLC Programme, Secondary Education, Higher Secondary Education.
Dr.Abdulkalam Sevak Samaj Council conducts these courses on the basis of
National Education Policy 1986 & 2016 (New)
Right to Education Act (RTE Act 2017-Amended)
Notification from Home Affairs, Govt. of India,
Tamilnadu Education Act, 1994 and follows
National Curriculum Framework 2005
NVEQ Framework.
The main aim of Dr.Abdulkalam Sevak Samaj Council is to eradicate illiteracy throughout India.In this aspect, the Dr.Abdulkalam Sevak Samaj council supports the National Literacy Mission Programme (NLM) of Government of India which is also called Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) The programmes designed in Dr.Abdulkalam Sevak Samaj Council for Open and Distance Learning follow the National Curriculum Framework, 2005.
Dr.Abdulkalam Sevak Samaj Council will adapt and design courses as per the Indian Government guidelines and will start innovative courses which will be of immense help to the learning as well as working communities all over India through Succeed in the Mission of Education as given in the Message to us by the Late Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
